It usually takes about three to five days to mix and master a track.

Most studio sessions are about two hours long.
What is the difference between a Mix and a Master?
What is the difference between a Mix and a Master?
When a track is being mixed the mixing engineer takes all parts of the track and balances the levels, add's effects, and makes sure there are no competing frequencies. This is where the track is cleaned up. After it has been mixed the mastering engineer takes that version and adjust it until the track is at it's maximum volume without distortion. This process makes sure that your track sounds good in every listing environment and is ready to be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming platforms.
